Our Kids, Our Future — Why College Affordability Matters to Kimberly

Wisconsin recently landed near the bottom nationally when it comes to public-college affordability. According to a recent statewide analysis, our state ranks 46th in the nation for share of public colleges that are considered affordable. Wisconsin Watch+1

That’s especially important for students in the Kimberly Area School District: with rising costs, many hardworking families may face real barriers to continuing education beyond high school. As a community, we need to advocate for accessible pathways to college — whether that means stronger support for scholarship programs, awareness-raising around financial aid, or renewed investment in technical and higher education.

As your candidate for the Kimberly Area School Board, I believe we must not only focus on K-12 excellence, but also prepare our students for affordable and accessible post-secondary opportunities. Let’s work together so a college degree or technical credential remains within reach for every student who dreams big.
