Kimberly School Board candidates talk fiscal responsibility, more in Q&A

I’m honored to be featured in the Appleton Post-Crescent alongside the other candidates for the Kimberly School Board.

I’m running because I believe every child deserves a safe, supportive learning environment and a strong academic foundation. As a professor, researcher focused on artificial intelligence and education, and parent of two Kimberly graduates, I’ve seen firsthand how important thoughtful leadership and long-term planning are to student success.

In the Q&A, I shared my priorities:

✔️ Strong academics grounded in literacy, math, critical thinking, and real-world skills
✔️ Student safety and well-being, including mental health support
✔️ Transparent communication and collaboration with families and staff
✔️ Responsible, long-term budgeting that protects classroom priorities

Kimberly is a strong district, but we face real challenges — rising costs, enrollment shifts, and the financial impact of state policy decisions. We need steady, transparent leadership focused on students while respecting taxpayers.

I’m committed to listening, collaborating, and doing what’s best for kids and our community.
